Why Tancredo should be President

"There is no doubt that America is facing an illegal immigration crisis. Currently, there are at least 12 million illegal aliens living in America I am absolutely opposed to amnesty or guest worker program in any form. In addition to rewarding those who broke our laws, amnesties simply do not solve the problem of illegal immigration. The only realistic solution to the problem of illegal immigration is a strategy of attrition, which seeks to reduce the flow of the illegal alien population over time by cutting off the incentives for coming to and staying in America - most importantly by eliminating the jobs magnet. America must also reexamine its legal immigration policies. Since 1990, that number has been roughly one million yearly - and that doesn't count illegal aliens. America should reduce legal immigration to 250,000 people a year, which will allow the newcomers to assimilate. In the wake of the September 11th attacks and the ensuing war on terrorism, it has become clear that the United States is facing a new security threat. The war America is already engaged in will not be fought like the wars of the past. After witnessing the tragic terrorist attacks against the nation, it is now time to coordinate the efforts of federal, state, and local agencies to provide better homeland defense. Tomorrow's attacker is more likely to board a commercial airliner bound for the U.S. with a tourist or student visa - or he may simply walk across our porous southern or northern border carrying a device in his backpack. These issues must be addressed"

Washington, D.C. ) – Representative Tom Tancredo (R-CO-06) held a press conference this morning with members of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus today, leading calls for President George W. Bush to shelve his 6-year old amnesty proposal. The President pitched the broad-based amnesty once again during last nights State of the Union address – in what seems to have become an annual occurrence. “The President certainly got his wish when he campaigned this past cycle, and did everything he could to guarantee a Congress sympathetic to his ‘amnesty for all’ plan,” said Tancredo, Chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus. “I am disappointed but not surprised that the President has once again chosen to trot out this same old pig – albeit one with a slightly new shade of lipstick. If there is one thing this President seems intent on demonstrating to the American public again and again, it is that he is utterly tone deaf.”

When the U.S. is broke, who will be the one to help us? My answer: No one! Would you like to live in Mexico? My answer: Not no, but hell no! I have yet to see a nice safe neighborhood where illegals live. Why is it they are willing to fight for their rights here and not in their own country? My answer: Contrary to popular belief that Mexicans are hard workers, they are not willing to work hard enough to make a better life in Mexico, unlike me and millions of other Americans who are fighting and exposing our corrupt politicians here. Why do you think the government is not doing anything to stop the illegals? My answer: Because most Corporations in America are devoid of morals or ethics. They do not see hiring illegals as a humane act, they see it as cheap slave labor and a way to increase their profits. When you protest for amnesty you are doing the hard PR work for companies like Tyson Chicken, Wal-mart and other companies that use slave labor. You are basically their little bitches... Will you send me 9% of the money you send the government for taxes? My answer: Hell no! But you expect me to do that for the Mexicans. Why don't you send money to Mexico to help them stay there if you feel they are so mistreated.

Report illegals, earn money!

The tide of illegal aliens is due to employers seeking slave labor and paying the cheapest wages without paying taxes. In North Carolina it is estimated that over 50% of subcontractors use day labors in the form of illegal aliens. This must stop!!! The big companies get off the hook when they contract their jobs out to subcontractors and are not held liable for this routine practice. However for the contractors who hire legal employees they must suffer because they can't compete with the low wages paid by those using illegal aliens. All one needs to do is drive around construction sites in Davidson and Forsyth counties to see this blantant disregard of the law. We are fed up with this practice and intend to hold our local officials accountable for their lack of enforcement. Did you know that the IRS gives rewards for information leading to conviction of tax fraud? It's very easy to do and you remain anonymous.
